Following a career in the Luxembourg civil service (Ministry of Finance), which included the post of Administrator General of the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance, Mr. Bausch became Director General and the Chairman of the Management Committee of SES in 1995. In July 2001, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of SES.
He graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Nancy and holds an honorary doctorate from the Sacred Heart University in Luxembourg.
