In addition to his responsibilities at O3b, John is a Director of Liberty Global, a role in which he has served since the company’s inception in 2005. He is also a Director of Austar United Communications.
John was a Director of UnitedGlobalCom (UGC) from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, he was a Director of Netherlands-based United Pan European Cable (UPC).
Until December 2007, John was Non-Executive Chairman of Hooper Industries Group. He was a Director at the group for over 25 years.
John was a Director and Non-Executive Chairman of both Terracom Broadband and Rwandatel until the sale of these companies in 2007.
He holds Bachelor’s Degree in political science and economics from Wheaton College (Illinois) and an LL.B from the University of Toronto School of Law.
