AMC-16
AMC-16 is a hybrid Ku/Ka-band satellite -- actually a twin of AMC-15 -- built by Lockheed Martin and based on the A2100 spacecraft platform. Launched on an Atlas V launch vehicle from Cape Canaveral in December of 2004. The spacecraft operates from the 85 degrees West orbital location and is exclusively providing its capacity to EchoStar Satellite Services of Denver, Colorado.
